Daniel Kulsvehagen - Assignment #2: Will it be adopted?

Sleep Safe Tape

Tired? Need a nap? In class? At a meeting? Sleep safe tape is what you need!

Relative advantage:

The Sleep Safe Tape gives you the opportunity to sleep anywhere while it still looks like your eyes are open. The tape cost $5.95 and is thus a pretty cheap product. The product does hold an advantage to painting on ones eyelids as you never know when you will become sleepy.

Complexity:

The product is seems easy enough to use. The hard part would be to tape the eyes straight to make it look as real as possible.

Trialability:

The product is cheap as it is so to try it beforehand seems rather unnecessary. With paint you could come close to trying out the effect of the product, but the product itself cannot be tried without being bought.

Observability:

This one is pretty easy. Either you get caught, or you dont. You pretty much only need to try this product once to find out if it works or not.

Compatability:

The product shows low compatability in any situation other than for fun. If you need sleep while in class, just don't come to class. The same goes for a business meeting. Although, that girl that just won't stop talking could become boring after a while.

Adaptability:

The adaptability of the Sleep Safe Tape is next to none. They can be used on other bodyparts, but there really is no reason to use it other than on ones eyelids.

Conclusion:

I believe that the Sleep Safe Tape could be used in a funny setting and that people might buy the product for that purpose. However the product shows low adaptability and compatability. Though the complexity of the product is fairly low, I don't think that this product will be adapted at a high rate.

The product could be improved by making different eyecolors and maybe a more detailed eye. All in all, the Sleep Safe Tape is a product to use for fun, and nothing else. It can be used for fun because of the low price.
